God's Love Letter to you

Do any of you remember what it was like to get a letter from the one you loved whilst they were away? How you would read it over and over again, and carry it with you everywhere to remind you of the reality of their love for you and that your separation was just temporary. After a while you didn't have to read it anymore because you knew it by heart, but still you kept it with you. Then your loved one would return and there would be no need to read the letters as you had that special person right with you.
God loves you more than any sweetheart ever could and He wants you to be reminded of how much He loves you all the time and He wants you to remember that, although we are separated for now, He is always with us and one day we will stand in His glorious presence. So He put together a whole book filled with His love. Have you spent even a fraction of the time reading His book of love to you as what you spent on those letters?
Don't think of reading your Bible as a chore, rather approach it as you did those love letters but with the knowledge that God can and will speak to you through His Word. He uses it to guide you, comfort you, teach you, provide hope and all the other things that we need to live our lives  and to bring Him glory until we can see Him face to face for eternity.
